Voltron Reunion! CelebWorx Clients B.J. Ward and Neil Ross Join Michael Bell At Pensacon 2018!


Pensacon is pleased to announce a first time ever reunion - The Voltron Lion Force pilots are assembling in 2018! Joining the already announced Michael Bell, please welcome B.J. Ward and Neil Ross!

For over 40 years B.J. Ward has made a living as a Singer, Actress and Voice Actress. In G.I. Joe, B.J. was the depiction of quintessential female heroism as she was the voice of the character Scarlett. She is also best known for voicing iconic character Velma Dinkley in over 15 animated movies, television cartoons, and commercials. As Velma Dinkley, she captured the hearts of millions in overly successful Scooby Doo projects such as Zombie Island, Witch’s Ghost, Alien Invaders, and Cyber Chase. She was the voice of Princess Allura and Witch Haggard in Voltron, Wonder Woman in Super Powers Team: Galactic Guardians, and Casey Kelp in Snorks. In the original My Little Pony, she voiced North Star, Surprise, Peach Blossom, Forget-Me-Not, and Baby North Star.

Other Animated Project Include: Jana in Jana of the Jungle, Queen of Hearts in Pagemaster, Janya Wonder Twin in The Legendary Super Powers Show, Betty Ross in The Incredible Hulk, Judy Jetson in Rocking’ with Judy Jetson, Googie in Scooby-Doo and the Reluctant Werewolf, Gertrude in Jetsons: The Movie, Whopper in Pound Puppies, Iris the Computer in Real Adventures of Jonny Quest, and Betty Rubble in numerous Flintstones series.

As an actress and singer, B.J. has worked with such composers as Stephen Sondheim, Maltby & Shire, Barry Manilow, Jerry Herman, Jones & Schmidt and Stephen Schwartz. Her successful one-woman show “Stand-Up Opera” delighted audiences from coast to coast. “Stand-Up Opera” played most of the major opera companies, philharmonic centers and theaters across the United States including such venues as The Kennedy Center, Carnegie Recital Hall, and the Adelaide Arts Festival in Australia. B.J. spent three years as a member of the Groundlings troupe with Phil Hartman and Paul Reubens among others. She has guest-starred on television where she has played an assortment of doctors, lawyers, newscasters, moms, and neighbors.

Neil Ross broke into voice-over in the early 1980s in Los Angeles. In G.I. Joe, Neil’s characters Shipwreck, Buzzer, Monkeywrench, Dusty, and Thunder were beloved by audiences. Over his long career, he voiced numerous characters in many classic animated television shows. In the original Transformers, Ross was Springer, Hook, Slag, and Bonecrusher. He voiced the roles of Keith and Pidge in the beloved classic Voltron: Defender of the Universe. Ross voiced iconic villains Green Goblin and Dr. Doom in 90s animated classics Spider-Man and Fantastic Four. Neil has done voices on numerous successful video games such as Metal Gear Solid, Command & Conquer, Call of Duty, and Doom 3. However, the video game role he is most known for is Codex in Mass Effect 1, 2, & 3. Other roles include Nightcrawler in the Pryde of X-Men, Clyde in Pac-Man, Honest John in American Tail, Han Solo in Star Wars: Rebellion/Roque Squadron, and Cyclops/Wolverine in Spider-Man and his Amazing Friends.
